LISA BUSSING MEMORIAL PIANO COMPETITION

Date:                           April 18, 2026 (This event is held in audition format)

Deadline:                 March 20, 2026 – via e-mail no later than 10:00 PM

Fee:                             $20.00 All fees in one Teacher check to GLMTA and mailed to Treasurer Wendy Dengler, postmarked no later than March 21. 

Eligibility:                  Students of GLMTA members in 12^th Grade and under. Adults may perform non-competitively for a critique.  Last year’s first place winners may not enter competitively.

Levels:                        By age dependent on number of entries

Literature:                 1. Three works from three of the following four categories:

                                                a. Baroque                                          b. Classical

                                               c. Romantic/Impressionistic             d. Contemporary

                                    2. At least one work must be by a French composer and at least one work by a non- French composer

                                    3. Teaching composers (e.g. Gillock, Peskanov, Rocherole are not acceptable)

                                    4. All literature must be memorized except for Adults.

Bussing Awards:       Cash awards for First ($100), Second ($75) and Third ($50) Places will be awarded on each group:                                 

Henri Carol Award: A plaque will be given on each group for the best French composer piece.

ALL AWARDS ARE AT THE DESCRETION OF THE JUDGES
